Tejchandra Mitra is a sincere devotee of the Master. The Master used to frequent his house. At one time, someone had deposited two hundred rupees with Tejchandra and while he was travelling with this amount in a tramcar he was pickpocketed. He discovered the loss after some time and suffered terrible mental agony. He came to the bank of Ganga and prayed to the Master with tears in his eyes, ‘O Lord, what have you done to me?’ He was not rich enough to make up that amount from his own pocket. As he was thus weeping he saw the Master appear before him and heard him say: ‘Why do you weep so bitterly? The money is there under that brick. Go and collect it.’ Tejchandra quickly lifted the brick up and found there the money. He narrated the incident to Sharat [Swami Saradananda]. Sharat said: ‘You are lucky to get the vision of the Master even now.’
